Professor Carl Ratner Gives A Lecture on “Cultural Psychology, Marginalized People, Enriching Education”

September 31th, 2020, Professor Carl Ratner , the director of California Institute of Cultural Studies and Education, gives a lecture on “cultural psychology, marginalized people, and enriching education” through Tencent Meeting, an application about online meeting. Zhang Qian, The deputy professor of the Faculty of Education of Southwest University, presidents over this meeting. Some teachers, post-graduates and doctors of Center for Studies of Education and Psychology of Ethnic Minorities in Southwest China and Faculty of Education of Southwest University attend this lecture. Additionally, with the help of Tencent Meeting, lots of teachers and students from different universities in China attend this lecture online. Professor Carl shares something about culture psychology. Giving an example about the spoiled children in China, Professor Carl introduces two models about cultural psychology. Then he gives more examples to illustrate the influence and function of culture in aspect of improving marginalized people’s education situation.
